Starter and dessert: Chapter 1-1

Welcome to the walkthrough guide to Cardboard Castle. Before you go any futher you need to know that this is a comprehensive guide. Part of the challenge of this game is figuring out how to make it through the different puzzles. We will reveal all of those secrets here. If you are stuck you might first want to check out our “clues” section. That way it will not spoil the game for you. If you still need help then go ahead and proceed. This is the first chapter of the game and it really is meant to orientate you with the game play. When you first start out you will be facing a soldier. Notice the pair of scissors above the soldier.

Use the scissors on the soldier to get rid of him.

Once you get rid of him he will leave his ax behind. This is not the only way to get rid of soldiers and in later levels you will need to find different ways to take care of them.

Now you need to make it to the castle but there is a hole in the way. Somehow you need to build a bridge. Try cutting down the tree with the ax.

Once it is cut the tree will become a plank of wood.

Now place the plank over the hole to make a bridge.

Congratulations. You just made your first bridge. Cross the bridge and approach the castle.

Now you only have one thing left to do. Use the key on the door to open the castle and you will be finished with your first level.

Starter and dessert Chapter 1-2

This chapter teaches you the basics of building a bridge. There are a couple ways you can do this. You can use a wood plank or you can create one if you can find some wet cardboard goo. This chapter you will have both.

There are two bridges you will need to build. You will also have to deal with a pesky little soldier. Notice the cup of water that is above the soldier.

Pour the cup of water on the soldier and it will create a pile of wet cardboard goo.

Now place the cardboard goo in the hole.

This will fill the hole but you still can’t get across it because it is wet. You need to scroll to the left and touch the sun.

This will dry the goo and make a bridge.

Now you can create the other bridge. Pick up the ax left over by the soldier and cut down the tree. This will make a plank of wood.

Now put the plank over the hole to make a bridge.

That’s all you need to do. The path is now open and you can get on your way.

Starter and dessert Chapter 1-3

You are still at the beginning stages of the game so the things you are learning are the basics of how to manipulate your environment. This stage teaches you how to change day into night. This is important because you will find things in the night that you cannot see during the day. This level starts you off in between two holes.

Lets get right to it. Take the sun and move it down toward the hole.

Now that is night you will see that there is an ax in the night sky. You will find on most levels you will be able to find an ax if you bring on the night.

Now take the ax and cut down the tree. This will create a plank of wood that you can use to build a bridge.

At this point you can try to place the bridge but it will not work. Notice the sun was attached to a piece of string. With the string attached you cannot place a bridge so you must lift the sun up and make it day again.
To the left of you is the moon. Move this down into the hole to so you can bring on the day again.

Now you can make the bridge. Place the plank over the hole and create a bridge.

There you have it. You are over 1/2 way through the first part of the adventure.

Starter and dessert Chapter 1-4

You are well on your way to solving the first chapter of your adventure. In this chapter you find a soldier and a girl who is crying. Something is bothering her and it is your job to figure it out.

First lets get rid of that soldier. Move the sun down and make it night.

In the night sky you will find an ax. Use the ax to take out the soldier.

At this point you can make it daytime again. Touch the roster to bring up the sun.

Now you can take the ax left over by the soldier to cut down the tree.

Now place the wood plank over the hole to create a bridge. Notice the bell to the right of the bridge.

Ring the bell to make a cat appear.

It looks like the missing cat was causing that little girl to cry. Try giving her the cat to cheer her up.

That appeared to do the trick. The girl is so happy she dropped a key for you. Pick up the key and make it out the door. You are done in this level.
